Most of the X in 1 stuff is just cheap Chinese boards designed to make a buck. ArcadeSD is arguably better than most X in 1 boards because it runs a better (newer) version of MAME and is supported by people who speak English. Most of the X in 1 boards run an older crappier version of MAME, and the boards themselves are just very cheap PC parts just barely good enough to run the games.
